Cleaning the oven does not have to be stressful. All you need is the right products, and cleaning will be easy. So how do you clean your oven? Here are a few simple oven cleaning tips that will come in handy.
DIY products
1. Use a baking soda and water paste
Baking soda and water is a simple homemade solution that is great for cleaning your oven. Mix half a cup of baking soda with some water to make a paste.
2. Spread the paste in your oven
Cover your oven with the homemade paste. Make sure you use rubber gloves if you have a grimy oven. Don’t worry if your oven turns brownish in color; it is normal. Cover every part with the paste including the oven door.
3. Allow to sit overnight
Let the homemade paste sit in the oven overnight. If you are in a hurry, leave the mixture for two hours. You can use that time to clean the oven racks.
4. Wipe down your oven
After leaving the paste overnight, use a damp dish to wipe down your oven’s interior. Use a spatula to get rid of the hard-to-reach places.
5. Spray with vinegar
Fill a spray bottle with water and vinegar in equal parts and spray on the baking soda paste. When the vinegar reacts with the baking soda, it causes it to foam. Leave the mixture for 30 minutes, and then use a rag to wipe down everything.
